What can be the worst nightmare of a social media manager? Any guesses?
As a social media manager, one of my worst nightmares is posting a personal tweet from a brand account or posting a tweet meant for one brand from another brand account. It can potentially put your career at risk as well as invite some unwanted PR attention to your brand.TweetDeck – a social media dashboard application for management of multiple Twitter accounts, has added a safety blanket today to guard against this error. It now allows users to add a confirmation step before the tweet is sent out.
This feature is available for all TweetDeck users on web, Chrome, Windows & the latest Mac app. To activate the feature, visit the Accounts tab, select the Twitter account for which you need to add this feature and activate the ‘Confirmation’ button. Post this, any tweet that you want to post from the selected brand account won’t be sent unless the ‘Ready to Tweet’ checkbox is clicked.
